SALEM – Bailey Davis drained a game-high 28 points Thursday to lead Telstar to a 60-27 rout over Mt. Abram in a MVC girls’ basketball matchup.

Telstar built a 15-point lead in the first half, then went on a 22-4 run in the third quarter. Josie Reiss chipped in for the Rebels (1-2) with 16 points.

The Roadrunners (1-1) were paced by Kenni Norton with 10 points, while Janessa Thomas added seven.

Lisbon 48, Liv. Falls 27

LISBON – Emily Moore poured in 14 points to pace Lisbon to a 48-27 romp over Livermore Falls in a MVC matchup Thursday evening.

Sam Purcell chipped in for the Greyhounds (1-2) with 13 points. The Andies (1-2) were paced by Esther Bizier with seven points, while Celeste Michaud added five.

Fryeburg 60, Poland 38

FRYEBURG – Coreen Hennessy drained a game-high 23 points to pace Fryeburg to a 60-38 rout over Poland.

Fryeburg used a 20-5 run in the fourth quarter to put the game put of reach. Hannah Sawyer chipped in for the Raiders (3-0) with 10 points.

Paige Piper led the Knights (0-3) with 15 points, while Sam St. Pierre added eight.

Monmouth 41, Georges Valley 26

MONMOUTH – Jenn Lola popped in 13 points and hauled down 10 rebounds to lead Monmout to a 41-26 victory over Georges Valley.

Jill Armstrong chipped in for the Mustangs (3-0) with eight points, one of seven players to record points.

Georges Valley (1-2) was paced by Ashley Geel with 10 points, while Aley Watts added six. Monmouth held a 16-10 advantage at the half and was never challenged.

Lawrence 64, Mt. Blue 40

FARMINGTON – Brogan Liberty sparked a 19-10 run in the third quarter for Lawrence in a 64-40 victory over Mt. Blue in KVAC girls’ action.

Liberty led the Bulldogs (2-0) with a game-high 24 points, while Alexa Bernatchez tallied 17.

Sabrina Keach led the Cougars (0-2) with nine points, while Amelia Allen added eight. Lawrence held a slim eight-point lead at the break before the offense reached full throttle.

Hall-Dale 46, Dirigo 44

FARMINGDALE – Brittany Ladner sank two free throws with under 10 seconds remaining Thursday night, pushing Hall-Dale past Dirigo, 46-44, in a battle of Mountain Valley Conference unbeatens.

Dirigo (2-1) rallied from a seven-point deficit and had a chance to sink the game-winner after making a steal. The Cougars missed the shot, however, and fouled Ladner in the rebounding action. Dirigo committed a turnover on its subsequent, final possession.

Carrie Jamison led the Cougars with 15 points, while Nikki Kaulback dropped in 10. Jane Hebert secured 10 rebounds and dished out three assists.

Arian Kumlangngan paced the Bulldogs (3-0) with 14 points.

Boys’ basketball

Fryeburg 62, Poland 60

POLAND – Ronny Coury nailed a jumper with three seconds remaining in regulation to lift Fryeburg to a 62-60 boys’ basketball victory over Poland.

The Knights (0-3) trailed by 15 at the break and battled back to take command in the fourth quarter. Coury led the Raiders (1-2) with 18 points, while Evan Humphrey added 11.

T.J. England paced Poland (0-3) with 21 points, while Nick Douglass popped in 16.
