Thefts

A wallet was stolen from an employee’s purse while working at the Sabattus Street Hannaford on Dec. 5.

An Apple laptop was stolen from Pettengill Hall at 2 Andrews Road at Bates College on Dec. 6 prior to 9 p.m.

A lighted polar bear Christmas decoration was stolen from the yard of 40 Fortin Way overnight Dec. 7-8.

A purple 18-speed Iron Horse mountain bike was stolen from Chase House at 16 Frye St. between Dec. 2-7.

Burglaries

An apartment at 105 Blake St. was burglarized on Nov. 26. A computer tower was stolen, and entry was gained through an unlocked door.

An apartment at 180 Sabattus St. was burglarized over the weekend Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. Jewelry was taken from inside.

An apartment at 64 Oxford St. was burglarized between Dec. 2-5. A CD and DVD player were stolen.

A residence at 192 Central Ave. was burglarized between 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. A silver Playstation 2 was taken.

An apartment at 182 Blake St. was burglarized sometime during the day on Dec. 9. There were no signs of forced entry. Electronics and jewelry were stolen.

The tenant of 34 College St. caught two men attempting to break in to her apartment on Dec. 12 at 12:21 a.m. The suspects fled when discovered. Damage was done to a door.

Motor Vehicle Thefts

A 2003 Polaris Pro X800 snowmobile was stolen from Central Maine Power Sports between Dec. 1-5.

A silver 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen from Bartlett Street near Pine Street during the day on Dec. 10. It was recovered out of town on Dec. 11.

Criminal Mischief

The rear window of a vehicle parked at 19 River Road was smashed out between 4:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 9.

The walls of 75 Park St. were tagged with graffiti prior to Dec. 11.

Counterfeiting

Derek Favreau, 24, was charged with attempting to pass a counterfeit $20 at Victor News on Dec. 5. When the store clerk told him the bill was fake, he ran out of the store.

Burger King on Lisbon Street received a counterfeit $20 with serial number CB02508266F at the drive-through on Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. The suspect was a male who was driving a teal-colored, older model station wagon. He was 20-years-old and may have the first name of Justin.

Vicki’s Variety at 210 Blake St. received a counterfeit $5 on Dec. 5 prior to 6 p.m.

The Big Apple at 248 Main St. received five counterfeit $20 bills on Dec. 11 from two different customers who were unaware that the bills were fake.

Operating Under the Influence Arrest

Jacinta Devlin, 21, was charged with operating under the influence on Dec. 10 at 11:58 p.m. at 1498 Lisbon St. after she crashed her car into a residence, collapsed a shed and fled the area on foot.

Operating After Suspension Arrests

Adam Boutot, 30, was charged with operating after suspension on Dec. 7 at 2:19 p.m. at Main Street and Mountain Avenue following a routine traffic stop.

Nicole Laviolette, 24, was charged with operating after suspension on Dec. 7 at 6:06 p.m. on Howard Street following a routine traffic stop.
