AUGUSTA (AP) – After a one-week reprieve, heating oil prices have gone up again in Maine.
The state energy office says the average cash price for home heating oil rose 4 cents to $3.22 per gallon, which is 91 cents higher than last year. Kerosene prices grew by the same amount to $3.62 per gallon, and propane was up by 5 cents a gallon to $2.96.
This week’s heating oil report continued a trend toward higher prices that was interrupted the previous week, when the average price dropped 2 cents a gallon.
