FARMINGTON – A Jay man pleaded not guilty to drug- and alcohol-related charges Friday in Franklin County Superior Court.

Ryan Bergman, 29, was arrested by Jay police in September on charges of felony aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs – marijuana – and misdemeanor furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol and allowing a minor to possess or consume alcohol in connection with two Jay girls under age 15.

Bergman was indicted on the charges in October by a grand jury.

The drug furnishing charge was elevated to aggravated because the incident allegedly occurred within 1,000 feet of a school, police previously said.
