Foundation announces grant to health system

LEWISTON – The MainStreet Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to the Sisters of Charity Health System of Lewiston this month. The award will be divided equally between the Renaissance House for adolescent girls and the Genesis House for adolescent boys.

Since Androscoggin Bank began its history in 1870, the goal of the bank has been to be a financial partner and resource to the communities it serves. Along with that commitment, the bank has a tradition of social commitment and support for improving the quality of life in those communities.

To accomplish that, Androscoggin Bank established the MainStreet Foundation in 1997 and has awarded more than $1,000,000 in grants to the surrounding community.
