LISBON FALLS – Jenny Carlson, 86, of Lincoln Street, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Drohobycz, Poland, she was a daughter of the late Jozef and Teodozja (Hnienna) Malewanczuk

Jenny was a survivor of a German concentration camp before she gained her freedom. She met the love of her life Gerhard “Eben” Carlson and they were married in Mannheim-Rheinau, Germany. After arriving in America, Jenny became a citizen of the United States. They had three children together.

Jenny worked for M. Grumbacher as a brush maker from 1967 to 1983.

She was a member of the Lisbon Falls United Methodist Church and was a member of the Homemakers Club.

Jenny was known by many for her wonderful cooking, which she passionately enjoyed.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Carlson and wife, Shirley, residing in Mainz, Germany, and John Carlson and wife, Lorraine, of Billerica, Mass.; and a daughter, Lola Carlson of Bowdoin.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Reynolds; five grandchildren, Selina, Jason, Michael, Jamie and Tiffany; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Eben in July 2004.
