Sunday service

PARIS – Sharon Bouchard will lead the 10 a.m. worship service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., Paris, on Sunday, Dec. 30.

Forest Perkins, church organist, will lead the music and Renee Wales will direct the Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Rink is open

PARIS – The Paris Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that the ice rink is open for skating. No hockey is allowed on the rink at any time.

Tubing tickets

PARIS – The Paris Department of Parks and Recreation has discount tickets available for snow tubing at Oxford Plains Snow Tube Park, Route 26, Oxford. Residents can purchase a ticket at the regular price of $15 from the town office and the others in the party will cost $11 each (limit six per party). The season started on Dec. 22.

The offer is only available at the town office in Paris, but it is open to residents of Paris and neighboring towns.

Church supper

PARIS – A pork roast supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Benefit supper

NORTH WATERFORD – A benefit public supper for Robert Springer III and family has been rescheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the North Waterford Congregational Church. The Springer family recently lost their Woodstock home to fire.The church is located on the Five Kezars Road. The price for the buffet-style, all-you-can-eat supper is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. For more information or to volunteer, call Jennifer Morin at 583-4403.
