WATERFORD – A Woodstock family that lost its home in a November fire will receive assistance from the community Saturday with a benefit supper.
The event will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
Proceeds will benefit Robert Springer III, his wife, Patty, and daughter Bethany. Robert was was awakened by his dog at home on Nov. 2 after a fire broke out in the one-story residence on Route 26. Firefighters from four departments were able to save a garage, but the house was destroyed.
Jennifer Morin, Robert’s cousin and organizer of the event, said Robert grew up in Waterford. Food will be available, but attendees may bring their own dishes if they wish.
