Seahawks 23, Redskins 20

The Redskins are the most obvious candidate for this year’s playoff Cinderella. And they have the defense and the running game to pull it off. The Seahawks abandoned their running game about eight weeks ago, and one can’t argue with a 6-2 second half. But they also feasted off a very weak division. Home field is the only thing separating them from being one-and-done.

Jaguars 13, Steelers 10

Pittsburgh will load up against the run, forcing David Garrard to beat them. He won’t, but Jacksonville’s defense, which doesn’t need to worry about Willie Parker, will. Garrard and Ben Roethlisberger have been very good at taking care of the ball this season (14 interceptions combined), but both will be inclined to force things Saturday night. I’ve got them for a half-dozen turnover combined, and J-ville gets the extra field goal.

Buccaneers 30, Giants 17

Giants fans have reason to feel encouraged after their performance against the Patriots last Saturday night, and the Big Blue has been at its best on the road (7-1). But New England’s opponents have struggled to rebound physically and emotionally the following week, and losing three starters doesn’t help things against a Tampa team that rested most of its starters last week.

Chargers 27, Titans 24

This is based on Albert Haynesworth being able to play for Tennessee. If he doesn’t, LaDainian Tomlinson goes for 250 and five TDs and San Diego wins 48-10. If Haynesworth can play, his presence and Tennessee’s big edge on the sidelines will keep the game close.

Last week: 12-4

Season: 160-94
