What happened to consideration?

I live on a road with a speed limit of 55 mph, and I must pull over before entering my driveway.

Yes, I actually need to put on my signal, slow down, and come to a complete stop before backing into the place where my car rests when not in use.

But for some reason, more often than not, people blare their horns as I perform this necessary act.

This happens more often in the snow season as the shoulders afford less room, but such audible complaints do happen year round.

Am I supposed to teleport into my parking spot?

Maybe I should lock the rear wheels and perform some Hollywood stunt to put myself in my driveway without costing some impatient driver a few seconds of their day.

Really, people, what do you expect?

Please extend some courtesy to those of us who live on busy roads.

You know who you are.
