Is there any particular reason why, on an almost daily basis, I must be subjected to photos of dead animals in the pages of the Sun Journal? It seems rare that I open an issue without seeing a photo of the carcass of some poor, innocent creature, dispatched by some “sportsman,” sometimes even by children.
Deer, moose, bear, turkeys and even fish regularly appear in the paper, murdered by someone’s recreational enjoyment.
As a lover of wildlife, I find it disgusting and disturbing.
For example, on Jan. 3, there was a photo of a dead bull shark killed off the coast of Florida, its body hung by the tail with a huge hook through its snout, pulling upward, almost bending the once-magnificent fish in half.
Revolting.
I wish the Sun Journal would refrain from printing such photos. I would appreciate it.
