HODGDON (AP) – State police say two people were killed when the car they were riding in collided with a logging truck on Route 1 in the Aroostook County town of Hodgdon, just south of Houlton.

Troopers say it was snowing at the time of the late Friday morning crash that claimed the lives of 76-year-old Yvonne Bigelow and her passenger, 82-year-old Philip Crowley.

Police say Bigelow’s car went out of control, crossed the centerline and struck the logging truck. The driver of the truck, George Andover of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, was not injured.
