Dear Sun Spots: I am the mother of two chronically ill young people and would like to talk to other parents of children (up to age 25) with any special health care needs, including, but not limited to, medical, behavioral or mental issues.

I’ve encountered some problems and challenges with our family navigating the medical health system, and I’m wondering if there are others experiencing the same. I’d like to set up a group to brainstorm, share information such as what are the strengths and problems other families have experienced while trying to locate medical assistance for their children. Dear Sun Spots: The Lewiston High School Class of 1973 is preparing for its 35th class reunion.

Our newly formed committee includes: Denise (Mathieu) Dambois, Diane (Cloutier) Ouellette, Nancy (Lapoint) Castonguay, Kathy (Masse) Goodwin, Joline (Busiere) Albert, Sharon (Moore) Harbin, Debbie (Allen) Holms, Reggie Lagasse and Leo Baillargeon.

The reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Knights of Columbus Hall on East Avenue, Lewiston. A social is scheduled with cash bar from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Be prepared for some wonderful entrees and more prepared by the Lewiston Regional Technical Center Culinary Arts Program at Lewiston High School. Our night will also include five-food stations prepared by the students. Following the social, dancing will be enjoyed by everyone with a DJ playing from 8 p.m. to midnight.

We would like to hear from all our classmates to update the class address list. We will be calling former classmates living locally, but would like others or their family members to please pass the word along. Dear Sun Spots: I have been reading your column almost 40 years now and hope you can please help me now.

I have just found some great slides taken in 1973, 1976 and 1977. Do you or some helpful person out there know where I could send them to make them into snapshots? I no longer have the projectors and such to see them with.
