AUBURN – Community-supported agriculture fairs will be held at four statewide locations from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at the following locations:

Portland: First Parish Church, Parish House, Congress St.

Augusta area: St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 18 Union St, Hallowell.

Lewiston/Auburn: St. Michael’s Episcopal Parish, 78 Pleasant St. (just off Court Street), Auburn.

Bangor: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 450 Essex St.

The events are being co-sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, the Maine Council of Churches’ Eat Local Foods Project and Slow Food Portland.

The fairs will be a chance for families to learn about them, become acquainted with local seasonal foods, buy a share in a farm’s weekly harvest and discover how they can grow a relationship with a Maine farm.

Admission is free for farms and the public. Light refreshments featuring local seasonal foods will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of local food for low-income families.
