BELFAST (AP) – Police in Belfast have recovered five stolen handguns following an investigation into a bomb scare and arson at Belfast Area High School last month.
Detective Michael McFadden says one of the guns – a loaded .38-caliber revolver – was carried into the high school last month by a teenage boy.
McFadden said he expects to charge two 16-year-old boys with possession of stolen firearms. Two other teenage boys have already been charged in connection with the bomb scare and arson.
The fire was started in a paper towel dispenser in a restroom and caused $11,000 in damage. The bomb threat note was left in the same bathroom the day before.
