LEWISTON – Fern St. Claire has been promoted to activities director at Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center, 158 Russell St.

St. Claire is a longtime employee of Russell Park. She started in 1987 as a dining room hostess. In the 1990s, she began taking courses to obtain her certified residential medication aide and personal care attendant certification. With her new certifications, she transferred to the residential care unit at Russell Park as a medication aide and personal care attendant.

In 1999, she began activity coordinators training and attended support group facilitators training. This new education allowed her to move from the residential care wing to the activities department at Russell Park, where she has worked as the assistant activity director for the last few years.

She is a Maine native, residing in Litchfield. She is married with two children and five grandchildren. When not working at Russell Park, she enjoys camping with her family and traveling to Old Orchard Beach to watch the ocean.
