AUBURN – Two people were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a Sunday afternoon accident on Center Street.

According to police, Lucille G. Poulin, 74, of 25 Pineland St., Lewiston, was southbound on Center Street at about 1:24 p.m. when she went to turn left into the K-Mart parking lot and her vehicle was struck broadside by a northbound car driven by Christopher Plourde, 41, of 46 Third St. Both drivers were taken to CMMC for treatment, but their conditions were not unavailable. A passenger in Poulin’s vehicle was uninjured.

Police estimate damages to Poulin’s 2004 Toyota at $5,000 and Plourde’s 1991 Toyota at $10,000.
