AUGUSTA – Captain Jarrod Crockett of Bethel was awarded a Bronze Star at the 120th Regional Support Group, Maine Army National Guard.

The award was the result of his deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2006 he was assigned as the company commander for HHC 240th Engineer Group, Maine Army National Guard. In 2007, he extended his deployment in Afghanistan and became a combat adviser with an embedded training team, working with the Afghan National Army.

Crockett is assigned at the Regional Training Institute, Maine Army National Guard, Augusta.
