AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St.
Tickets will be on sale ($4) for the valentine luncheon Wednesday, Feb. 13. Dues must be paid to buy the tickets. Annual reports will be given, there will be the usual raffle table, and following a bag lunch, bingo will be played. Members are reminded to bring their cups.
When members met Jan. 9 with President Merry Strout in charge, 66 were present. Welcomed as new members were Celia Wyman, Callie Adams, Jean Pepin, Robert Switzer and Rene Gagne. Those having birthdays in January were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Robert Switzer and Nancy Roy; pot of gold, Russell Howe, Eleanor Jones and Joyce Patenaude.
Installed in office for the year by installing officer Lucy Cowles were: board of directors, honorary, Merry Strout, Kaye Koss, Irving Grant, Joan Webb, Lucien Marcoux, Ralph Lashua, and secretary, Caroline Chapman; president, Virginia Houston; vice president, Jannette Libby; treasurer, Irving Grant; assistant treasurer, Lee Koss; recording secretary, Caroline Chapman; correspondence secretary, Aileen Harnden; and chaplain, Patricia Donohue.
In appreciation of her services as president, Merry Strout was presented a purse of money for her terms in office from members of Robin Dow Senior Citizens by Lucy Cowles.
