LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Jan. 21 with 23 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

The sick list includes Marie Leblanc, Dora Slovak, Marie Gagnon, Ernie Bickford, Jean Luciano, Maggie Dufour and Diane Getz. Members welcomed back Edith Leblanc.

The group received a card from the Friends Together Club, thanking them for a donation.

Couture received a call from Mary Groleau thanking members for the card and prayers. She will observe her 95th birthday on Monday, Jan. 28. A reporter from the Livermore Falls Advertiser was a guest.

On Monday, Jan. 28, the group will have ice cream and cake, honoring members who observe their birthdays in January.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the monthly Chinese auction was held and it was successful. The 50-50 was won by Athanase Couture. The meeting adjourned and cards and games were played.
