Incident Report Statistics

Between Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 7 a.m. and Friday, Jan. 15, at 7 a.m. this department has responded to 939 calls for service. Of those calls, 263 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Thefts

Numerous vehicles parked at the CMMC parking garage have been burglarized in the past week. Most vehicles have been unlocked, this is occurring in the late evening hours.

A bicycle was stolen from outside of Wentworth Adams Hall at 170 North Bardwell St. on Jan. 20 prior to 9:50 p.m.

A vehicle parked at 102 Campus Ave. was burglarized between 6:45 and 9:15 a.m. on Ja. 19. The vehicle was unlocked, change and a soda were stolen.

A residence at 77 Ferry Road has had bundles of firewood, which were for sale by the roadside, stolen several times in the last week.

Maine Reg. 5535MX was stolen from a vehicle parked at 61 Webster St. overnight Jan. 19-20.

A Durabrand DVD player was stolen from an apartment at 209 Lincoln St. some time prior to 10 p.m. on Jan. 21.

Burglaries

An apartment at 194 Park St. was burglarized between 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 23 and 5:42 a.m. on Jan. 24. A gray safe was stolen from inside; entry was gained by breaking out a window.

An apartment at 164 Oxford St. was burglarized on Jan. 17 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; entry was gained through a window.

A residence at 494.5 Main St. was burglarized overnight Jan. 24 to 25; entry was gained through an unlocked door, a purse was stolen from inside.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked in the CMMC parking garage was paint-balled prior to 11 p.m. on Jan. 19.

A window was broken out of the Redlon and Johnson building at 3 Middle St. overnight Jan. 17-18.

A flag attached to a mailbox at 165 Crowley Road was burned overnight Jan. 20-21.

The entry door to 942 Lisbon St. was kicked in between Jan. 19-20. No entry was gained and no property was taken.

A window to Bates Mill No. 5 was smashed out with a beer bottle between midnight and 8 a.m. on Jan. 12.

A vehicle parked at 217 Blake St. had a windshield shot by a BB on Jan. 20 at 12 a.m. A juvenile witnessed the incident and pointed out the suspects to an officer. The officer was able to locate two juveniles and confiscated a BB gun.

Androscoggin Bank at 30 Lisbon St. was tagged with graffiti overnight Jan. 21-22.

A vehicle parked at Country Kitchen on Locust Street had its passenger side window smashed out between 7 p.m. on Jan. and 3 a.m. on Jan. 21.

Robberies

On Jan. 18 at 5:46 p.m. a male subject reported that he was the victim of a strong-armed robbery while walking from Lewiston to Auburn by way of the footbridge. The suspects were two white males; one appeared to be overweight and was wearing a dark colored hoodie and jeans, the second one was described as mid-30s with blonde or red hair and a goatee, with nose and ear piercings. He was wearing a white T-shirt and camouflage shorts. The victim was assaulted and had money stolen from him.

On Jan. 21 at 10:38 p.m. the Easy Mart was robbed by a white male wearing a puffy green down jacket, a shirt with torn sleeves, and a gray face mask. The suspect had his hand in his coat, intimating that he had a weapon. He ran off after taking cash.

Jeanna Barry, 28, was charged with being a habitual motor vehicle offender on Jan. 16 at 3:30 p.m. at 79 Strawberry Ave. following a routine traffic stop.

Christopher Purcell, 20, was charged with operating a vehicle without a license on Jan. 16 at 11:47 a.m. at Webster and Walnut streets following a routine traffic stop.

Adria Callan, 29, was charged with operating while license suspended and unlawful use of a license on Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at 200 Blake St. following a routine traffic stop.

Shawn Asselin, 29, was charged with operating while license suspended and failure to give correct name on Jan. 19 at 1:26 a.m. at Birch and Blake streets following a routine traffic stop.

Jeremy Poole, 19, was charged with operating while license suspended and violation of conditions of release on Jan. 20 at 9:34 p.m. at 34 Knox St. following a routine stop.

Cassandra Cummings, 24, was charged with operating after suspension on Jan. 24 at 12:16 a.m. at 48 Bradley St. following a routine traffic stop.

Operating Under the Influence Arrest

Allen Begin, 37, was charged with operating under the influence on Jan. 20 at 1:14 a.m. at 425 Lisbon St. following a routine traffic stop.
