Legion members to discuss programs
TURNER – American Legion Post 111 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Leavitt Institute Building community room, 98 Matthew Way. A post officers meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at the same time and location.
Members will discuss Boys and Girls State, Legion baseball, children and youth programs, national high school oratorical contest, Boy Scouts, Legion school programs and education.
They will also consider the American Legion 89th birthday, Arbor Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day.
Members attending are asked to wear their Legion hats.
