FARMINGTON – Everyone’s Resource Depot has invited children and adults to “make your valentines with us” at workshops from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 9, and 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Feb. 11 to 14.

Those who attend will choose from a wide variety of materials – yarn and trim, card stock and red envelopes, glitter and sequins, odd bits of lace and ribbon and papers. Many sample valentines and valentine projects will be on display. All ages are welcome, and a small fee will be charged to cover materials and instruction.

The depot is located in the new Education Center’s Room 009, University of Maine at Farmington, corner of High and Lincoln streets. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Programs like valentine workshops are offered to the public to create awareness of the fun involved in reusing scrap materials. The depot has been serving the greater Farmington community for more than 25 years. For more information, call 778-7150.
