YARMOUTH, Mass. (AP) – Blame it on SpongeBob SquarePants.

Police and utility officials say a metallic balloon bearing the likeness of the popular cartoon character drifted into some electric wires in Yarmouth Sunday, tripping breakers and cutting power to about 4,000 residents

NStar spokesman Walter Salvi said power was restored to the vast majority of customers within minutes, but some 235 customers remained without electricity for almost two hours.
