LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District will host a proprietary devices workshop for contractors, code enforcement officers, licensed plumbing inspectors and site evaluators. The workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Ramada Inn. The session will cover information on a variety of advance topics related to subsurface wastewater disposal.
Topics will include fats, oils and grease; underground injection control regulations; commercial septic systems; aerobic and membrane treatment processes; septic system maintenance; erosion control; and treatment tanks and pumps.
Six and a half training contact hours will be awarded and apply toward recertification for LPIs and CEOs, as well as Maine Department of Human Services and Department of Environmental Protection voluntary certification programs for septic system installer and contractors.
The cost for the workshop is $70.
