This is in response to the letter from Elaine Graham, printed Feb. 5.

I applaud the Sun Journal and the media for representing all sexualities. Who is to say that heterosexuals have more of a right to publicize their sexuality than homosexuals? It is nice that the Sun Journal promotes messages of love and togetherness in the wedding announcement section, be it same-sex or different.

I was also very pleased to see that the Community Little Theater brought “The Laramie Project” to L-A. Only through awareness can we avoid repeating such a terrible event as what happened in Laramie.

Banning things such as homosexuality from the media is taking a step back in time. It implies that people who are heterosexual are superior to those who are not. That is wrong.

The Sun Journal’s “implied approval of same-sex marriage” is what I call acceptance of others.

I encourage Graham to try and practice some acceptance.
