Dear Sun Spots: I would like to know the address of “Deal or No Deal” TV show as well as where it is located? I read your column every day and love this section. It’s always interesting.
Also, years ago they used to have a TV show named “Queen for a Day,” when I was a teenager. Do they still have that show? And where is it now? Is there an address where it’s located, if it still exists? My mother was asked to be on that show but couldn’t get to them because she was sick at the time. I would like the address if possible. It would mean a lot to my mother. – Mary Ann Michaud, No Town.

Regarding “Queen for Day,” according to www.wikipedia.org, Queen for a Day was an American radio and television show. It helped usher in American broadcast listeners’ and viewers’ fascination with big prize giveaway shows when it was born on radio (1945-1957), before moving to television (1956-1964; 1969-1970) and, between the two versions, making it a forerunner of “reality television.” The show became popular enough that NBC increased its running time from 30 to 45 minutes.
Jack Bailey hosted both the original radio show and the original daytime television version, first for NBC and then ABC. This program does not appear to be airing any longer. He also hosted “Truth Or Consequences” from 1954 to 1955. He died Feb. 1, 1980 in Santa Monica, California.

Psychic Readings by Jeri Brem. Sun Spots spoke with Brem who says she has a gift, something she realized as a child. According to a Wiscasset Newspaper article by Paula Gibbs on Brem and published in December 2006 (http://wiscassetnewspaper.maine.com/2006-12-21/clairvoyant.html), when meeting someone for the first time, thoughts would come into her head and proved to be true. Brem said she feels guided 100 percent of the time. She reads throughout the state and has talked to people across the country, in Europe and Iraq. Brem chooses those she wants to work with, seeking positive people, that don’t disrupt her energy. Contact her at 797-0044.
