PARIS – A new farmers’ market will be located at the Fox School, 10 Market Square, Paris, starting May 24. The Fox School Farmers’ Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, rain or shine, May 24 to Oct. 25.

The new market has been made possible by SAD 17, which is allowing the use of the school grounds, with the direct help of Marcye Gray, David Marshall and Mark S. Eastman.

The Planning Board approved the application to establish the outdoor market on Jan. 22.

The market will include local farmers, value-added producers and agricultural craft vendors as well as musicians. The new market is also hoping to have area restaurants and bakeries participate as vendors. The market will also allow nonprofit organizations to sell there.

Anyone wishing more information about joining the market may phone Patricia Verrill at 674-5903, [email protected] or P.O Box 163, West Paris, ME 04289.
