LEWISTON – A City Council curfew cut short councilors’ discussion of the Colisee’s future.

Councilors were scheduled for an executive session review of possible lease or sale offers for the Colisee after their regular meeting Tuesday.

Councilor Robert Reed said he was unaware of any specific offers to manage the ice arena but has heard rumors in the community.

“We understand that there are possible suitors, but we don’t know anything else,” Reed said. “We just wanted to get an update for city councilors.”

That update will wait until the next meeting. Councilors finished Tuesday’s regular meeting just after 10 p.m. A curfew created last year requires a five-vote majority before councilors can continue a meeting past 10 p.m.

Councilors didn’t bring the matter to a vote, deciding to postpone their discussion to the end of a future meeting.
