BERLIN, N.H. – Henry A. Lafleur, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 22, at his Western Avenue residence.

He was born in Berlin on March 28, 1926, the only son of Charles and Marie (Demers) Lafleur. He attended local schools, and was a lifetime resident of Berlin.

He was married to Bertha (Cote) on July 9, 1945, and together they had one son.

Henry was employed for the Brown Co., later known as James River Corp. as a color man in the Cascade beater boom, retiring in 1986 after many years of loyal service.

He and his family were communicants of the former St. Joseph Parish, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, and he had also served as an Acolyte for St. Joseph’s.

In earlier years, Henry and his wife enjoyed traveling to Canada and visiting relatives. He enjoyed being at home, and loved tending to his garden. Henry liked to do puzzles, and enjoyed any time spent with his family.

He is survived by his son, Paul C. Lafleur and his wife, Lillian, of Berlin; sisters, Rita Vezina of Falmouth, Mass., and Jeannette Bain and her husband, Raymond, of East Hartford, Conn.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; as well as by his loving wife of more than 52 years, Bertha, on Oct. 20, 2002.
