LEWISTON – The wedding of Jen L. Leavitt and Matt R. LaPierre was held at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 18, at the Carriage House. Tammy Stowe, aunt of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. LaPierre is the daughter of Betty and Larry Leavitt of Danville. Mr. LaPierre is the son of Gervaise and Bob LaPierre of Van Buren.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown with embroidered champagne trim and she carried a bouquet of ivory roses.
A friend of the bride, Kathy Mangin, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Juliann Jalbert and Jeana Leavitt, sisters of the bride, and Niki Yeaton, friend. Brittany Jalbert, niece, was flower girl.
Serving as best man was Randy Cyr, friend, and ushers were Mark LaPierre, brother, Chris May, brother-in-law, and Matt McGinnis, friend. Andrew May, nephew, was ring bearer.
The ceremony started with the sound of a ringing bell by Tyler Jalbert, nephew of the bride.
A reception followed at the Carriage House, after which the couple traveled to Quebec City in Quebec. They are residing in Auburn.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2002 graduate of Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at Central Maine Medical Center.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Van Buren High School and a 2002 graduate of Northern Maine Community College. He is a civil designer at Harriman Associates.
