BANGOR (AP) – A 46-year-old Hampden woman is going to prison for two years for mailing bomb threats to three Bangor-area schools.

Jodi Lynn Holmes was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

U.S. Attorney Paula Silsby says Holmes mailed threats last March to John Bapst Memorial High School, Hampden Academy and Bangor Christian Schools indicating that bombs would go off at each school on the same date and time.

Holmes pleaded guilty in November. She said she feeling angry at the time she wrote the letters, and took precautions to avoid being detected, such as wearing latex gloves and sealing the envelopes with a wet cloth.
