FARMINGTON – A man accused of robbing a downtown bank is being held on $10,000 cash or $50,000 surety bail after his first appearance in 12th District Court here Tuesday.
As part of his bail conditions, Judge Charles Dow ordered Kevin E. Lunn, 38, to not return to any TD Banknorth facility and to have no alcohol or drugs. Lunn will be able to review his bail with counsel once an attorney has been secured, Dow said.
Lunn turned himself into Sagadahoc County officials Sunday after learning that a warrant was issued Friday for his arrest.
Lunn has no permanent address and is known to make frequent trips out of state, Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson told the court. Evidence suggests that Lunn intended to use the money from the bank robbery to go to Massachusetts to buy drugs, he said.
Farmington police obtained the arrest warrant in the robbery of the TD Banknorth on Dec. 12, 2007. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the bank at Main Street and Broadway.
