LEWISTON – Susan Hayward, Stanton Bird Club president, will address the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary meeting at noon Thursday, March 6, at the Ramada Inn.

A member of the Stanton Bird Club since 1978, Hayward assisted in the revitalization of Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary. As steward, she coordinated with club officers and community professionals to restructure the trail system and habitats at Thorncrag.

For fifteen years, Hayward designed, implemented and taught natural history lessons at Thorncrag for hundreds of students in Lewiston, Auburn and neighboring towns.

Hayward’s presentation will speak directly to the efforts by the Stanton Bird Club to open the Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary to programs for children and their families.
