BANGOR (AP) – An administrator at the City University of New York is in line to become president of the University of Southern Maine.

University of Maine System Chancellor Richard Pattenaude said Wednesday that he’s recommending Selma Botman, CUNY’s executive vice chancellor and provost, from among four finalists for the presidency. University system trustees will vote on the appointment Monday.

Botman would succeed Pattenaude, who stepped down last summer to become chancellor.
