AUBURN – The Pleasant Note Coffeehouse will celebrate its second anniversary of free, monthly open-mic nights Friday, March 14, with an optional Irish theme.

Area residents have come to share songs, music, the spoken word – even some dog tricks. For this month’s event, participants are urged to perform Irish music if they would like. Refreshments will be sold to benefit the organ fund.

Audio design is by John Brooks and Mike Giasson. The children’s room will be available for families.

Sign-up is at 7:15 p.m., with the show to start at 7:30.

The coffee house is in the First Universalist Church at 169 Pleasant St.
