JAY – Michael Luciano has joined Verso Paper’s Androscoggin Mill leadership team as human resources manager.

He has owned and operated a human resource consulting business, and has been subcontracting with an executive recruiting firm, FPC Bangor, located in Farmington.

Luciano comes to Verso with 18 years of experience in human resources, operations, accounting and safety in the pulp and paper industry, including expertise in continuous improvement processes, recruitment and retention, organizational development and training programs.

His career includes senior positions in human resource management at Myllykoski North America in Norwalk, Conn., and Wausau Paper in Jay, as well as assistant vice president at Franklin Memorial Hospital and safety engineer for Wade and Searway Construction in Bucksport.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Husson College, graduate course work at Thomas College, and additional human resources training at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

Luciano and his wife reside in Jay. They have two adult sons.
