JAY – For the second time in less than a week, Jay High School students and staff were evacuated to the middle school after another bomb threat was found at the high school on Tuesday.

Police were called in as well as firefighters to search the building.

It was the fourth time since Jan. 25 that a bomb threat was found at the school.

No explosive devices have been found.

Two teenagers face criminal charges on threats made on calculators on Jan. 25 and Feb. 12. They’ve also lost school attendance privileges.

Police have strong leads on a third suspect in connection with last Thursday’s threat, which was found written on a school wall.

Police said they would be working evening hours on Tuesday on the most recent threat, police Chief Larry White said.

Tuesday’s threat was reported about 12:51 p.m., found on a paper left in a stairwell, White said.

High school students stayed at the middle school until the close of the school day, he said.

Police are working on some leads and were still actively working on last week’s bomb threat as well.

Jay officers working on the case include White, Sgt. Troy Young and Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier.
