Gymnasts are holding benefit

RUMFORD – Seven-year-old Abbie Blauvelt is part of the Greater Rumford Community Center competition gymnastics team.

She was diagnosed with childhood leukemia, and the team is trying to help her out with expenses during this time.

On Thursday, March 13, Abbie and the gymnasts will continue a cartwheel-a-thon to raise money for her and her family.

The event started on Wednesday. Abbie is the daughter of John Blauvelt and Tracy Glover and the granddaughter of Laurie and Dave Glover.

The team is also taking donations for Abbie at the center’s front desk and is conducting a bottle drive. Those who have bottles to be picked up should leave a message at the center, 369-9906.
