I have been watching the political news shows. What bothers me is that the media, candidates, even the public, are not talking about resolutions. It is time to discuss how to end this nation’s dependence on foreign sources of energy. A fuel source is needed that can be made domestically, and it would have to be produced at a much lower price than what the public now pays for oil.

The quicker that other energy source is found, the sooner this nation can leave the Middle East. The Middle East has been quagmire for decades. The U.S. needs to leave the Middle East, and allow that region to evolve or devolve as the people there choose. Taxpayers’ money should be focused on solving the serious problems this nation faces.

I believe the answer to the energy source is M-85. M-85 is 85 percent methanol and 15 percent gasoline.

Methanol has been used in the racing industry for years. It can be made from any biological waste. Whole industries could be created in this country, putting people to work.

By producing methanol, there is an alternative energy resource that will free this nation from the Middle East, now and forever. Plus, methanol can be used to power hydrogen fuel cells, because of the amount of hydrogen in the methanol molecule.

Once free of foreign oil, the nation can focus on the real domestic problems.

It is time to discuss solutions. The nation needs to face its problems, not avoid them.
