Family supper

NEW SHARON – A family baked bean supper will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5, at the New Sharon Congregational United Church of Christ, Cape Cod Hill Road. The meal includes a quart of baked beans, a pint of coleslaw, yeast rolls or brown bread and family-size homemade pie for $14. To reserve meals, call Mary at 778-2366.

CPR course

FARMINGTON – Registration is being accepted for a Heartsaver CPR course being offered at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The course will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in the Bass Room.

The course will follow the standards and guidelines for CPR from the American Heart Association and is designed for the public. It will include information on basic cardiac life support techniques for adults, children and infants, as well instruction on automated external defibrillators.

There is a $45 fee for the course, which includes the cost of a textbook. For more information or to register, contact Amanda Brown at 779-2381.

Grange contest

LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norland Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the home of Noella Mercier for Community Women’s Activities Night with Cyneretta Ward, lecturer. There will be a baking contest open to men and women using own their recipe to make whoopie pies.
