AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. An Easter dinner will be served under the direction of Lucien Marcoux as main chef, with his volunteer assistants. Members should bring their own cups.
Fifty-six members were present March 12 with President Virginia Houston presiding. As the meeting opened Chaplain Patricia Donohue led members in prayer, then a moment of silence was held in memory of Frances Wentworth, a member who died Jan. 30.
Trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin announced she has a 54-passenger bus reserved for a trip on Friday, June 13, price $50, to Foster’s Lobster Bake, York. For reservations, see Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or phone her at 998-4577. The trip is open to nonmembers as well.
Those having birthdays in March were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Joan Webb and Roy Tassinari; pot of gold, Lucien Marcoux, Marion Drapeau and Russell Howe.
A Valentine luncheon was served following the meeting under the direction of Irving Grant. Penny Rossignol was chosen as Valentine Queen and George Remillard Valentine King, crowned by outgoing king and queen, Guy Donohue and Margaret Merrill. The new king and queen were presented a small purse of money and pinned with a corsage and boutonniere.
