AUBURN – A surprise party was held recently for Wayne and Charlene Jordan of Auburn, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The party was hosted by their four daughters, Susan, Wendy, Tammy and Bonnie, and was held at Marco’s Restaurant on Nov. 24.

Decorations included gold and white balloons and small gold boxes for the guests to take home. Bowls of personalized candy bars commemorating the wedding date were arranged on a table. A scrapbook of the couple’s 50 years together was displayed for guests to browse through.

Their daughter, Tammy, gave a brief welcoming speech inviting both family and friends to join in the celebration.

Mr. Jordan and the former Charlene Brown were married Oct. 19, 1957, in Auburn and have lived on Garfield Road in Auburn for the past 39 years. They are now retired and enjoy time with family and friends, reading, hot air balloon festivals and cheering for the Red Sox.

The couple traveled to Walt Disney World in late October to celebrate their anniversary. They vacationed with their long-time friends, Beverly and Peter Radomski of Lewiston, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December.
