HEBRON – The Hebron Community Baptist Church congregation, under the leadership of Pastor Meredith Dalessandro, held a Talk-it-Over Sunday on Feb. 24. Following worship, church members brainstormed plans for the coming months.
Spearheading the first of the projects discussed, Jim and Nancy Turner launched the re-painting of the dining room in time for Palm Sunday on March 16. The task involved scrubbing, scraping and painting the walls.
Volunteers participating in the work were John Farnsworth, Marian Hall, Conrad Conant and the Turners. The walls are now sage green with white ceiling and trim.
The facilities of the Hebron Community Baptist benefit not only the membership but also many organizations and individuals from the area for meetings, weddings and funerals.
Those who have not visited the church, built in 1819, are invited to the northeast corner of the Hebron Academy campus where Sunday services take place in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. Church school classes are held in the recently refurbished upper room.
