LEWISTON: The Lewiston Recreation Department wishes to remind residents that it is offering a Girls & Boys Lacrosse Program that will commence, weather permitting, during the week of April 28th running through mid June. Registration may be made at the Lewiston Recreation Department, 65 Central Avenue, Mondays – Fridays with a deadline of April 14th.
No prior knowledge of the sport is needed, and boys and girls in 3rd grade through 8th grade will be divided into three grade divisions. Travel is involved with the lacrosse program; however, transportation is not provided. Parents are asked to attend a parent meeting on April 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Department of Recreation. In addition, any parent interested in becoming a coach/assistant coach must fill out both a coaches registration and background check form.
The program fee for grades 3 & 4 are $65 per Lewiston resident ($75 non-resident) and $80 for grades 5 – 8 ($90 non-resident). The fee includes the cost of a 2008 jersey. The Director for the program will be Bridget Cailler.
