AUBURN – The Auburn Democratic City Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in the community room of Auburn Hall. Parking is available in the garage behind Auburn Hall.

The speaker will be Jennifer DeChant, national Democratic committeewoman from Maine, who will discuss the roles of committeemen and women and of the superdelegates to the National Democratic Convention.

All registered Auburn Democrats are urged to attend these meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Visitors are welcome and refreshments are served. Members are asked to bring nonperishable goods for the pantry at the Trinity Jubilee Center. Call 777-3125 with questions.

Bickford seeks District 70 seat

AUBURN – Bruce Bickford is a Republican candidate for the District 70 seat in the state House of Representatives. Bickford is an advocate for business development and fiscal responsibility. He believes that reform is needed regarding social programs and unfunded mandates.

Bickford is an Auburn city councilor representing Ward 4. He resides at 64 Cameron Lane with his wife Margie and four children. Bickford manages the Irving Oil Travel Plaza on Washington Street and can be reached at [email protected].

Lisbon Democrats schedule meeting
