AUBURN – Michael and Karen Labbe of Auburn are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Labbe, to Christopher Marc Mailhot of Auburn.

Miss Labbe is a 1996 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2001 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, Conn. She is employed at Central Maine Medical Center in the oncology unit and at Poland Spring Golf Course.

Mr. Mailhot is a 1998 graduate of Westbrook High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in history. He received his master’s degree in business in 2003 and is employed at UNUM as a senior disability benefits specialist.

The ceremony is planned for Aug. 9 at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, with a reception to follow at Lost Valley in Auburn.
