BOSTON (AP) – Police arrested six people in Lynn and seized 84 kilos of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $8.4 million.

The suspects arrested Saturday afternoon are being held without bail until their arraignment Monday in Lynn District Court on charges of trafficking cocaine and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.

The Mexico, Texas, Chicago, Arkansas and Boston residents were arrested after a two-year investigation led by the Essex County Drug Task Force.

Police say they had set up surveillance on the Lynnway saw a flat bed tractor trailer unit pull into a parking lot on Saturday.

Police allegedly saw the suspects offloading cocaine and put the substance into suitcase-like containers, which were then put into a pick-up truck.

The five men and a Mexico woman were detained after police stopped the two vehicles when they left the parking lot.
