This nation is now in a crisis. Many homeowners can no longer pay monthly bills, so where will they go? The price of fuel oil is nearly $400 for 100 gallons, and the cost of transportation, to get to a job, is critical.
I remember reading recently how one large oil company had reported making $123 billion in profit, yet that company retains a tax break. Many people are just trying to survive.
When Saddam Hussein’s forces set fire to the oil wells in Iraq, the pollution was killing all living things. U.S. teams put those fires out so people could return. Maybe Iraq should pay the U.S. back by exchanging oil for the money it owes. But then, the big oil companies would probably confiscate that oil and keep it from people who need it here.
