LIVERMORE FALLS – A proposed $2.5 million municipal spending plan for 2008-09 will go before a public hearing Tuesday.

Selectmen are recommending a $2.57 million budget while the Budget Committee is pushing for a $2.56 million budget. The latter’s suggestion is $7,015 lower than selectmen’s, with most of the difference in the Fire Department budget.

After factoring in $215,523 in revenues, the appropriations are anticipated to be $2.35 million. This year’s budget is $2.54 million and after factoring in $175,019 in revenues, total appropriations are $2.36 million. The hearing is set for 6:30 p.m. April 22 at the town office.
